How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
Performance Engineering Co-Op Job Summary:
Work with a team of Aerospace Engineers and engineering compliance specialists on multiple projects. Identify and implement improvements to existing processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and performance
Airport Analysis and Takeoff & Landing Performance:

Assist with GIS (Geographical Information System) analysis for airports worldwide as well as aircraft departure procedures where terrain and/or aircraft noise pose operational limitations

Monitor daily airports and runway characteristics changes
Enroute Performance:
-
Review flights with seating capacity restrictions due to high temperatures, enroute winds, etc.

Develop and engineer operational datasets for payload performance monitoring

Monitor aircraft over/under fuel burn performance
Weight and Balance:
- Monitor and update aircraft weight ledgers as mods/repairs are embodied
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

Seeking a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and actively enrolled in school during the program duration

Strong analytic, technical writing, and verbal communications skills required.

MS Office (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint) skills required. SQL, Python and/or VBA skills a plus.

Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
(Aeronautical/Aerospace or Mechanical strongly preferred).
Private pilot's license a plus.
Students must be able to complete 3 alternating rotations in Atlanta, GA in line with the schedule below:

Spring 2027 - 1st rotation

Fall 2027 - 2nd rotation

Summer 2028 - 3rd rotation
