DFS Science NA-ANZ Integrator

The NA-ANZ Regional Science Integrator connects Bayer Digital Farming Science with the North America-Australia-New Zealand Digital New Value unit and commercial business. This leader translates regional growth priorities and customer needs into scientific questions, evidence plans, and digital capability priorities, while helping the business apply DFS data, models, and insights to create measurable customer and business value.

The role aligns Science priorities to the NA-ANZ Digital New Value outcomes while collaborating seamlessly across DFS delivery, R&D and DTIT. This role establishes shared direction, clarifies ownership, resolves gaps, and connects the right science work to the highest-value opportunities.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role are to:

Connect Science and NA-ANZ Business Priorities

  • Build a deep understanding of North America crop strategies, customer needs, go-to-market priorities, and barriers to adoption.

  • Translate business opportunities into scientific problems, evidence requirements, learning agendas, and capability needs.

  • Bring business context to Science teams and scientific possibilities, limitations, and tradeoffs to regional decisions.

  • Align science priorities and roadmaps with NA Digital New Value and commercial goals.

Shape and Prioritize New Value Opportunities

  • Partner cross-functionally to identify and evaluate opportunities where scientific insight and product recommendations can create value.

  • Define the scientific work needed to validate value propositions and support product, commercial, and investment decisions.

  • Connect FieldView data, agronomic capabilities, predictive models, and scientific methods to regional growth opportunities.

Lead Cross-Functional Integration

  • Establish clear forums and routines for opportunity discovery, prioritization, roadmap alignment, evidence planning, and progress reviews.

  • Coordinate requirements, evidence, decisions, ownership, milestones, and handoffs across regional business and global technical teams.

  • Identify and resolve gaps in translation, capacity, timing, or expectations before they become delivery risks.

  • Build confidence through clear communication about scientific uncertainty, delivery tradeoffs, and requirements for scale.

Advance Evidence-Based Commercial Value

  • Define measures and KPIs for customer value, technical performance, adoption, and business impact.

  • Ensure scientific evidence is fit for the intended product, commercial decision, claim, or customer experience.

  • Use market, customer, and product insights to guide testing and learning.

  • Turn results into plain-language recommendations that leaders and nontechnical partners can act on.

Provide Strategic Leadership

  • Represent DFS Science in relevant North America Digital New Value and commercial planning forums.

  • Advise leaders on priorities, capability gaps, resource needs, and partnerships that can accelerate value creation.

  • Coach science and business teams on effective collaboration across organizational boundaries.

  • Monitor digital agriculture trends, competitor capabilities, and external science partnerships relevant to North America.

  • Experience working across science, product, engineering, marketing, and commercial teams in a matrixed organization.

  • Knowledge of digital agriculture, agronomic data, analytics, AI/ML, or software-enabled offerings.
