Project Paralegal

Description

Robert Half is partnering with a law firm in Seattle, WA to identify a Paralegal who is ready to IMMEDIATELY jump in to assist and possibly join their team. This position is contract with potential for extension/conversion into a permanent role.

Responsibilities:

• Review physical and electronic client matter files to support file transfers and new matter transitions across multiple legal practice areas.

• Determine which documents should be released to clients or new law firms and which records must be retained by the firm.

• Analyze case files, correspondence, pleadings, and related documents to ensure transfers are complete, accurate, and compliant with firm guidelines.

• Work closely with the Information Governance team to manage priorities, track assignments, and meet deadlines.

• Conduct on-site and electronic file reviews, escalating issues as needed to ensure smooth and efficient matter transitions.

Requirements

• Prior law firm experience in a paralegal, legal assistant, or similar legal support capacity.

• Familiarity with new matter intake, conflicts checks, records management, or information governance processes.

The salary range for this position is $28-35/hr. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
