Performs other duties as assigned. Manages electronic applications for documentation, viewing patient-specific information, and utilizing charging applications in the research setting. Educates patients, families, and significant others about research protocols and serves as a resource. Coordinates the work of support staff, laboratory technicians, and assistants to ensure efficient, timely, and high-quality results. Ensures adherence to research protocols and maintains compliance with documentation standards. Assesses patients' physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs based on age and protocol requirements. Offers direct and appropriate nursing and supportive care specific to patient needs. Plans for expeditious and future interventions, including referrals and multidisciplinary collaboration based on research protocol requirements. Reviews informed consent documents with study candidates and/or legal representatives according to FDA, state, federal, and institutional regulations. Ensures the rights, safety, and well-being of trial subjects through patient advocacy and informed consent processes. Provides competent care and services to adult patients of various ages and abilities in compliance with service standards. Executes nursing assessments and triages essential patient care needs according to research protocols and institutional standards.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Interpersonal communication Skills: ability to interact and maintain good relationships with a broad spectrum of healthcare disciplines and the public under all circumstances. Required.
• Detailed oriented and has teamwork skills, motivated, organized, ability to perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, and work efficiently under pressure. Required.
• Ability to be a critical thinker with an analytical approach to problem-solving. Required.
• Proficient in protocol research nursing. Preferred.
• Outpatient Infusion Center nursing. Preferred.

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Field of Study:

• Graduate of EMS Training Program required

Work Experience:

• 1+ professional nursing experience [Required]
• Oncology experience [Required]

Additional Information:

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
