The Communications Specialist is an individual contributor who develops and executes communications for recurring programs, projects and business initiatives while serving as the Communications team’s subject matter expert for the company intranet.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develops and executes communications for recurring programs, projects and business initiatives

Develops communication strategy, planning and execution for cross-functional initiatives and advises business partners on audiences, messages, timing and channel selection

Creates, edits and publishes content across existing and emerging internal communications channels
-
Creates or adapts graphics and visual content using approved brand standards and templates
-
Serves as the day-to-day subject matter expert for MergePoint, the company intranet by developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of its site structure, navigation, permissions, content types, publishing processes, search functionality, targeting and reporting capabilities

Conducts routine content audits and manages processes to review, archive and expire outdated content in accordance with company requirements

Leads the MergePoint department liaison program

Uses platform analytics, search insights, user feedback and business needs to recommend and implement improvements

Participates in cross-functional projects to improve communications at Amergis

Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
Minimum Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing or a related field preferred
-
Five or more years of communications or related experience preferred
-
Strong writing, interviewing, research, editing, and proofreading skills
-
Proficiency with design, including experience creating visual communications
-
Demonstrated experience administering an intranet, SharePoint site or comparable content management platform
-
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality
-
Proficiency in the English language is require
