Job Description

A leading healthcare client is making significant investments in enterprise AI and is seeking an experienced AI Architect to lead the strategy, design, and governance of AI-enabled solutions across the organization. The AI Architect will establish enterprise AI standards, evaluate emerging technologies, guide platform and vendor decisions, and provide architectural leadership across a growing portfolio of AI initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to shape the organization's AI roadmap and drive solutions that enhance business operations, customer experiences, and long-term innovation. Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Drive the enterprise AI architecture strategy and roadmap across platforms, applications, and engineering teams.
  • Architect scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AI solutions leveraging Azure and modern AI technologies.
  • Evaluate and govern AI platforms, models, and vendor solutions to maximize business value and reduce risk.
  • Establish enterprise standards for responsible AI, security, privacy, compliance, and model governance.
  • Define best practices for AI engineering, lifecycle management, observability, and AI-assisted development.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders, providing architectural guidance and technical leadership across AI initiatives.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud architecture, or enterprise technology, including architect or technical leadership roles.
  • 4+ years of experience designing and delivering AI-powered solutions, including LLM, RAG, and agentic AI architectures.
  • Deep expertise in cloud architecture and modern AI platforms, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong background in .NET/C# and Python, with the ability to guide architecture across complex distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of AI architecture patterns, including vector databases, embeddings, orchestration frameworks, model integration, and enterprise AI solution design.
  • Experience establishing AI governance frameworks covering responsible AI, model risk management, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience defining DevOps, MLOps/LLMOps, observability, and AI lifecycle management practices at enterprise scale.
  • Experience working within regulated industries such as healthcare, insurance, or financial services
  • Experience with Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Search, GitHub Copilot, and enterprise AI adoption initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience developing solutions involving HIPAA, PHI, or other sensitive data environments.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
