Full job description

Summary You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the SENSORS WEAPONS & LAUNCHERS DEPT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-05 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. The salary range shown above is capped at the GS-13 Step 10. Responsibilities You will service as the Ballistic Missile Defense Signal Processor (BMD) team lead. You will provide technical services involved with the execution of combat systems and/or weapon systems work assignments pertaining to project oriented in-service technical support services. You will provide technical/consultative services and training during installation, and check-out, integration tests, Combat Systems Ship's Qualifications Trails (CSSQT), certifications, or other test/evaluation efforts. You will conduct research and comprehensive design studies into development acquisition and/pr in-service technical support for assigned equipment related to hardware reliability, operation, performance and maintainability problems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing and evaluating new or modified electronic combat systems to complete tests, evaluate data and determine acceptability of equipment modifications for radar operations and Ballistic Missile Defense Signal Processor. Education Additional Information Salary Ranges: Mayport, FL: $106,437 - $163,514 CAPPED at $138,370 Norfolk, VA: $108,019 - $165,945 CAPPED at $140,426 Port Hueneme, CA: $124,085 - $190,627 at CAPPED $161,313 San Diego, CA: $121,585 - $186,785 at CAPPED $158,062 This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program.
