Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Business Analyst 5 for a public sector client supporting enterprise initiatives within a state government agency. This candidate will serve as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, driving requirements gathering, process analysis, Agile story development, and strategic planning efforts. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience facilitating discussions with executive leadership, documenting complex business processes, and supporting public-facing technology solutions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful initiatives that support environmental and regulatory programs while partnering with diverse stakeholders across the organization. Candidates should be highly organized, self-directed, adaptable, and comfortable navigating both project-based and operational responsibilities in a collaborative hybrid work environment.

Skills and Requirements

  • 7+ years as a Business Analyst conducting: o Business process reviews o Requirements elicitation and documentation o Process modeling

  • 5+ years developing and/or managing user stories in Agile environments

  • 2+ years working directly with senior leadership to: o Facilitate strategic discussions o Develop roadmaps o Build consensus among stakeholders

  • 2+ years supporting Statements of Work (SOWs), contracts, or work agreements

  • 2+ years supporting projects involving IT solutions for public-facing users

  • 1+ year working with programs governed by state and/or federal regulations

  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to quickly learn new environments and business domains

  • Must be able to work on-site in Michigan
