Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Unified Communications Engineer to support a critical communications modernization initiative for a Federal agency within the Department of Justice. This individual will support enterprise Unified Communications, telecommunications, Audio/Visual (A/V), and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) environments that enable mission-critical operations. The ideal candidate will work within highly secure classified and unclassified environments and assist with the deployment, integration, troubleshooting, and sustainment of communication platforms. This is a mid-level engineering opportunity for a professional looking to expand their experience supporting large-scale federal communications infrastructure. Additional responsibilities include: Support the design, implementation, maintenance, and sustainment of enterprise Unified Communications and telecommunications systems. Assist with the deployment, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of voice, video, collaboration, A/V, and VTC technologies. Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, availability, and end-user experience. Troubleshoot technical issues across multiple communications platforms and coordinate resolution efforts with internal teams and stakeholders. Collaborate with government personnel and cross-functional technical teams to support operational and mission requirements. Develop and maintain technical documentation, implementation plans, operational procedures, and system diagrams. Support system modernization initiatives and technology refresh efforts across communications environments. Assist with configuration management and change implementation activities. Ensure compliance with applicable security standards, policies, and zero-trust architecture requirements. Provide ongoing operational support for communications infrastructure in classified and unclassified environments.

Skills and Requirements

3+ years of experience supporting Unified Communications, telecommunications, VoIP, or enterprise collaboration technologies. 3+ years of experience deploying, maintaining, integrating, and troubleshooting voice, video, and data communication systems. Experience supporting A/V, Video Teleconferencing (VTC), and collaboration platforms within an enterprise environment. Knowledge of telecommunications infrastructure, networking fundamentals, and Unified Communications technologies. Experience creating technical documentation, implementation procedures, and operational support documentation. Active Top Secret Clearance - SCI Tag and CI Poly optional, can be obtained during onboarding Experience supporting Department of Justice or other Federal Government environments. Cisco CCNA, CCNP Collaboration, CompTIA Security+, or related industry certifications. Experience supporting communications technologies in highly secure or zero-trust environments.
