Project Engineer – Structural Engineering Location: Oklahoma City, OK Schedule: 100% Onsite Compensation: Up to $100,000 DOE
A growing structural engineering firm in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join its team and take ownership of structural projects from concept through completion.
This is a hands-on engineering opportunity for someone who enjoys both structural design and investigative work and wants the autonomy to manage projects, solve complex structural problems, and have a meaningful impact on project outcomes.
What You’ll Do
- Independently manage structural engineering projects from start to finish
- Serve as Engineer of Record on assigned projects
- Scope work, determine project requirements, and own project deliverables
- Develop structural drawings, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates
- Perform structural analysis and develop analytical models from field data
- Support projects through construction, including RFIs, shop drawings, and construction-related issues
- Evaluate existing structures and determine appropriate repairs, reinforcement, or structural solutions
- Manage multiple projects while balancing deadlines and priorities
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, owners, and other project stakeholders
- Provide occasional guidance or mentorship to interns or drafters
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Approximately 6+ years of structural engineering experience
- Experience with structural materials including steel, timber, concrete, and masonry
- Experience with vertical buildings and towers
- Revit experience
- Ability to independently manage projects and take ownership of deliverables
- Experience developing complete structural construction documents
- Experience developing analytical models from field data
- Experience with Tekla Structural Designer or the RISA Product Suite is a plus.
Project Exposure You’ll have the opportunity to work across a variety of structural projects, including:
- Healthcare and hospital facilities
- Commercial and institutional buildings
- Vertical buildings and towers
- Renovations and additions
- Existing-structure evaluations
- Structural repairs and reinforcement
- Long-term projects that can span 18–24 months or more
