Job Description
An Insight Global client is looking for a Resident Project Representative to join their team in support of data center construction projects they are involved in. They are needing someone that is a subject matter expert for the mechanical and/or electrical trades.
- Assist the Construction Engineers with all facets of project execution
- Assist with the administration of one or multiple construction projects as an owner representative
- Assist with identifying and resolving design and construction issues in the field.
- Take part in meetings with client and general contractor.
- Work directly with the client and contractor to meet the needs of the project.
- Communicate with the project team and client throughout the project.
- Oversee the Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs on a project.
- Present job progress and issues in meetings with the client.
- Prepare daily reports for each individual project.
- Review contractor submittals and respond to contractor inquiries, ensuring that contract specifications are met.
- Review contractor RFI’s and make recommendations to EOR
- Coordinate with others to obtain responses to requests for information and other submittals from contractors and keeps a log of such requests..
- Perform other engineering and construction management functions as assigned.
- Communicate regularly with PM, HDR field staff, and clients.
- Read, clearly understand and interpret plans and specifications
- Perform other duties as needed
Skills and Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of construction experience
- Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or closely related field
- OR Master Electrician certification or Texas Journeyman
- MEP Experience
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
- Data Center experience
- PE license
