Job Description

This role is ideal for Senior or Principal-Level Aerospace, Energy, Automotive, or Robotics Mechanical Design Engineers who are seeking highly flexible, fully remote engineering work either full time, or to supplement a primary full-time job. Software licensing and hardware will be provided if necessary. A cutting-edge engineering and AI-driven technology organization is rapidly expanding its U.S.-based mechanical engineering contractor network to support one of the largest ongoing engineering data initiatives in the market. The team is seeking experienced Aerospace Mechanical Design Engineers to contribute to highly technical mechanical product design projects that replicate real-world engineering scenarios throughout the full product development lifecycle. Engineers will work on tasks that may include mechanical design, CAD modeling, design validation, FEA analysis, and engineering documentation. Projects are intentionally structured around various stages of the design cycle, allowing engineers to leverage their expertise while maintaining flexibility across multiple concurrent assignments. Deliverables are reviewed through a robust quality assurance process before being incorporated into larger engineering initiatives. This opportunity offers exceptional flexibility, allowing engineers to choose projects that align with their interests and expertise. Workloads are consistently available, with the organization actively scaling and seeking hundreds of engineering contributors. Engineers may utilize a variety of CAD platforms depending on project requirements, including SolidWorks, NX, Creo, CATIA, and similar design tools. Software licensing and required hardware support are provided when necessary, creating opportunities to expand proficiency across multiple platforms.

Skills and Requirements
