Summary
Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively.
Duties
Organizes tournaments for open competition and regional events involving both the military and DOD civilians. Ensures a well-rounded program that meets the requirements of a diverse population, with such sports programs as, but not limited to; softball, basketball, volleyball, flag football, golf, tennis, racquetball, wrestling, soccer, and martial arts, etc. Administers logistics, procures supplies and materials, and arranges for publicity and media support. Submits and monitors the sport budget. Submits required after action reports related to the tournament/s held. Recommends the development of new sports programs to benefit Command and patron desires. Responsible for league and tournament schedules, scheduling officials, and verifying invoices submitted for officiating services. Responsible for athletic equipment, maintaining uniforms, purchasing awards and supplies. Coordinates marketing and serves as the sports liaison within program areas. Serves as the POC for athletic field reservations. Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Alerts the higher-level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise. Adheres to safety regulations and standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment. Performs other related duties as assigned. Requirements
EVALUATIONS: Qualifications
Three years experience that demonstrates knowledge of the needs and methods necessary in processing military sports program. Must be able to plan and conduct a variety of enhanced activities. Skilled in effectively organizing and utilizing the available resources within the program framework. This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.
