Sr. Systems Engineer

Job Description

One of Insight Global's largest provider clients in the Philadelphia area is seeking a Sr. Systems Engineer to support and manage a large-scale enterprise infrastructure environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining and administering core compute and storage platforms, including physical servers, VMware environments, SAN, NAS, and NetApp storage solutions. Engineers will perform day-to-day operational support, break/fix troubleshooting, server provisioning, capacity management, and general infrastructure maintenance to ensure system reliability and performance. The ideal candidate will also leverage Active Directory for user and system administration while partnering with internal teams to gather requirements and provide technical recommendations during infrastructure initiatives. This position requires strong hands-on infrastructure expertise and the ability to support critical production environments in a collaborative, customer-facing setting. This is a fully remote contract opportunity expected to last one year or longer, with a strong likelihood of extension.

Skills and Requirements

5-7+ years of infrastructure engineering or senior systems engineering experience 2-3+ years of experience with AWS Cloud Infrastructure Hands-on experience managing enterprise storage environments, including SAN, NAS, and NetApp technologies Strong experience administering VMware virtualized server environments Experience provisioning, configuring, and supporting physical and virtual servers Active Directory administration and troubleshooting experience Experience supporting data center infrastructure environments Exposure to storage performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery processes Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical infrastructure solutions
