Minimum Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent. Experience with the following:

  • The operation of personal computers, including a medium level of proficiency in Word, Excel and Access.
  • Composing and writing effective correspondence, memos and e-mails, using proficient business English grammar, vocabulary, punctuation, and spelling, and ability to proofread the written material.
  • Communicating information to callers/visitors tactfully and professionally, expressing ideas clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
  • Providing effective customer service over the telephone and in writing.
  • Database management.

Preferred Requirements: Knowledge of the judicial system. 2-3 years administrative experience. Knowledge of and experience with the Georgia state ADR rules and guidelines is strongly preferred.

Essential Functions: [The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.]

Under the general direction of the ADR Program Director and Assistant Director, the Program Assistant will provide administrative support to the Sixth Judicial District Alternative Dispute Resolution Program. Under general to limited supervision, this person will be responsible for answering telephones, taking messages and making appointments, greeting visitors, maintaining office files, intake and scheduling of cases, conducting domestic violence screening, generating notices and reports, maintaining office inventory, and other administrative duties of a routine nature in support the ADR Program and ADR Program Director.

Work Schedule: Employee will be required to work regularly on various shifts as deemed necessary; generally, Monday – Friday 8:30 AM to 5 PM fully in-office.
