Full job description

About Journey Journey is redefining mental health care for modern companies. Our mission is to help all people live happier, healthier, less stressed lives. Traditional EAPs are reactive. Digital EAPs improved access, but still wait until someone is in crisis. Journey’s proactive approach is redefining mental health care for modern companies. We are a rapidly growing tech startup, and we work with care and intention to create a high-performance company. We recently raised our Series A and are entering a focused growth phase. About The Role As Vice President of Consultant Partnerships at Journey, reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will be responsible for developing partnerships with benefits consultants at the most influential houses. You will play a crucial role in managing partner relationships, executing strategies, tracking performance, and recommending improvements. Collaboration with internal departments is critical to ensure knowledge transfer and alignment with Journey's overall business goals. We’re looking for a dynamic, accomplished professional with a strong track record of success working with brokers and consultants to build, strengthen, and optimize these critical business relationships. In this job, you will:

  • Develop, grow, and maintain strong strategic partnerships with key benefits consultants, serving as the key point of contact for ongoing partnership engagement.
  • Educate consultants on Journey’s products and capabilities while understanding both their needs and those of their clients.
  • Serve as the liaison between internal teams and external consultants to foster strong partnerships, smooth collaboration, and effective execution.
  • Consistently meet activity expectations, achieve consultant-referred opportunity targets, increase consultant-led RFP activity, and partner with Sales to advance consultant-influenced opportunities through the pipeline.
  • Partner with Chief Commercial Officer on strategic vision and execution to build a world class Consultant Partnerships function
  • In partnership with the internal marketing team, design and execute outreach and nurture strategies to consultants.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and represent Journey at relevant events to build and expand partnerships.

Requirements (what makes you a great fit for this role):

  • 10+ years of experience working with consultants, brokers, and partners (i.e. WTW, Mercer, Gallagher, Aon, Lockton, Alliant, etc.) in a similar capacity at a health and wellness company
  • Early-stage (<25 employees) startup experience is a must
  • Consistent over-achievement in quota and revenue goals

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a self-starter who thrives with autonomy and relentlessly pursues goals
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excel at multi-tasking and managing multiple projects at the same time
  • Be comfortable with critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Eager to learn and adapt to industry trends
  • Thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional remote environment

Benefits

  • Culture Focused. We prioritize building a high-performance culture of top talent. At Journey, you’ll work with a team of smart, motivated and happy people who like to have fun.
  • Remote First. We are a remote company. Where you live is where we are located.
  • Stock Options. We encourage an ownership mindset by giving full-time employees the opportunity to share in the success of Journey.
  • Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance. Journey contributes approximately 80% of the medical insurance premium for the employee and their family, provided through Aetna.
  • Unlimited PTO. We trust you to do what is necessary to get your job done while maintaining a healthy work/life harmony. We offer unlimited time off and encourage you to take it.
  • Parental Leave. 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave for birthing and 10 weeks for non-birthing and adoptive parents are available after one year of employment.
  • Fertility & Family Planning. In partnership with KindBody, Journey employees receive a discounted suite of services covering preconception to postpartum, as well as support for surrogacy, donor services, and adoption. Journey also offers paid leave for pregnancy loss as well as travel reimbursement for safe and legal abortion access.
  • Productivity Stipend. Team members receive $1,000 to spend on co-working spaces, a new desk chair, or whatever they need to make their work environment more comfortable.
  • Learning and Development. Journey is invested in your continuous growth. Each year, team members are eligible for up to $1,000 to spend on professional development opportunities of their choosing.
  • Journey’s Proactive Mental Health Program. Of course, team members and their loved ones have access to Journey Proactive EAP, our proactive mental health solution to stay happy, healthy, and mentally and emotionally fit.
  • Compensation. Composed of base salary, bonus and equity. The OTE for this role is $200,000 - $300,000 annually. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.

— Equal Opportunity Employer At Journey, we aim to foster a workplace free from discrimination. We believe that diversity of experience, perspectives, and backgrounds leads to a better environment for our people and a better product for our clients. Journey is an equal opportunity employer and encourages all applicants from every background and life experience to apply.
