Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Dual Hat Superintendent to join one of their federal contracting clients supporting a newly awarded healthcare facility renovation project in Bremerton, WA. The Dual Hat Superintendent will operate as the sole Super and QC or SSHO on the project. This individual will oversee all onsite construction activities and serve as the primary field leader responsible for safety, quality, schedule adherence, subcontractor coordination, and client communication. This is a high-profile healthcare modernization project involving mechanical, electrical, civil, and facility infrastructure improvements. The ideal candidate will have extensive healthcare construction experience and a proven track record managing occupied facility renovations and complex MEP scopes. This is a fully onsite position requiring five days per week onsite. Candidates must be open to travel and relocation to future project sites following project completion.

Project Scope The Superintendent will oversee construction activities including: •Replacement and upgrades of electrical systems •Civil construction and site earthwork improvements •Relocation and installation of air handling units •Installation of new HVAC condensers •Overhead paging system upgrades •Re-keying and security-related exterior door improvements •Miscellaneous facility infrastructure and renovation work

Responsibilities •Oversee daily field operations from mobilization through project completion •Manage subcontractors, self-perform crews, and site logistics •Ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications •Coordinate activities between owners, subcontractors, vendors, and project management teams •Conduct daily site walks and monitor project progress •Lead safety meetings and enforce project safety requirements •Perform quality control inspections and coordinate corrective actions as needed •Track project schedules and proactively identify potential delays •Review plans, specifications, RFIs, and submittals for constructability •Maintain project documentation and reporting requirements •Facilitate owner and stakeholder meetings throughout the project lifecycle

Skills and Requirements

•Minimum 10 years of construction experience •Minimum 5 years serving as a Superintendent on projects of similar size and complexity •5 recent years of healthcare construction experience •Experience managing renovation projects in occupied healthcare environments •Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and subcontractor management. •Ability to travel and work onsite for the duration of the project •Experience with federal healthcare or military healthcare projects. •Current ASHE (American Society for Health Care Engineering) certification. •Current or previously held CQM (Construction Quality Management) certification. •Knowledge of EM 385-1-1 safety requirements. •Experience managing MEP-intensive renovation projects.
