Job Description

We are seeking a Project Engineer II to support large-scale data center programs through project coordination, documentation management, schedule support, procurement tracking, and stakeholder collaboration.

This individual will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Project Controls, Scheduling teams, Design Consultants, Vendors, Procurement teams, and Client Stakeholders to help drive program execution, reporting, and milestone achievement. The ideal candidate has experience supporting large technical infrastructure projects and understands how engineering, procurement, scheduling, commissioning, and turnover activities come together within a complex program environment.

This is an office-based position focused on planning, coordination, reporting, documentation management, and stakeholder communication.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Support

Support day-to-day coordination of project activities across multiple workstreams.

Assist project leadership with tracking program milestones, deliverables, and action items.

Coordinate with vendors, consultants, design teams, procurement teams, and project stakeholders to ensure alignment on project priorities.

Facilitate communication between project teams and maintain visibility into key activities and deliverables.

Support project meetings, prepare meeting documentation, and track follow-up items.

Document & Information Management

Maintain project documentation, logs, reports, submittals, RFIs, change documentation, and project correspondence.

Coordinate document workflows and assist with review, routing, and status tracking activities.

Ensure project records remain organized and aligned with program standards.

Support turnover documentation and project closeout deliverables.

Schedule & Project Controls Support

Partner with Scheduling and Project Controls teams to support milestone tracking and schedule updates.

Assist with progress reporting, look-ahead planning activities, and project forecasting efforts.

Monitor schedule impacts, identify constraints, and escalate potential risks to project leadership.

Support development of project dashboards, status reports, and executive summaries.

Procurement & Vendor Coordination

Support equipment procurement tracking and milestone management.

Assist with monitoring long-lead equipment activities, approval workflows, manufacturing updates, and delivery milestones.

Coordinate with vendors and procurement teams to ensure project schedules remain aligned with procurement timelines.

Track critical project dependencies and maintain visibility into procurement-related risks.

Commissioning & Turnover Support

Assist with coordination of startup, testing, commissioning, and turnover readiness activities.

Support document collection, status tracking, and reporting associated with system readiness.

Coordinate with stakeholders to support operational readiness milestones.

Help track closeout items and turnover deliverables.

Skills and Requirements

4-7 years of project engineering, project coordination, project controls, or program management experience.

Experience supporting large-scale projects valued at $100M+.

Experience supporting data center, mission-critical, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, utility infrastructure, or similarly complex technical programs.

Strong understanding of project documentation, schedule coordination, procurement tracking, and project reporting.

Experience working with RFIs, submittals, change documentation, meeting minutes, and project records.

Familiarity with CPM schedules and project milestone tracking.

Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Direct data center or mission-critical infrastructure experience.

Experience supporting projects valued at $250M+.

Exposure to Primavera P6, Primavera Cloud, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling platforms.

Experience with BIM/VDC coordination platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Navisworks, or Revizto.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business, or related discipline.
