Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Responsibilities You will serve as an INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the NAVAL WEAPONS STATION EARLE UIC 60478, ORDNANCE DEPARTMENT. You will provide detailed technical advice and assistance in areas of specialized ordnance management. You will compile reports concerning space utilization, storage compatibility, space availability, magazine and conveyance data, security and statistics on inventory line items. You will review incoming Fleet return material and makes determinations concerning utilization to meet load plan shortages. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: *Experience providing logistics support for ordnance items and their component parts. *Experience using automated systems to verify availability of materials. *Experience performing inventory reconciliation and trend analysis. *Experience collecting and compiling data for required reporting of inventory statistics. *Experience analyzing ammunition stock levels to determine overages or shortages. GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: *Experience assisting with logistics support for ordnance items and their component parts. *Experience using automated systems to verify availability of materials. *Experience assisting with inventory reconciliation. *Experience analyzing ammunition stock levels to determine overages or shortages. Education Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: GS-09: Master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related. GS-07: 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the qualification requirements if the applicant can provide documentation indicating that the foreign education is comparable to that received in an accredited educational institution in the United States.
