Full job description

Job Summary

The Facilities Technician is responsible for supporting the maintenance, repair, and continuous operation of the facility infrastructure, utilities, equipment, and building systems.

Key Responsibilitie s

  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, compressed air, and other building utilities.

  • Monitor and maintain facility equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve facility related issues in a timely manner.

  • Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.

  • Support installation, relocation, and setup of equipment, workstations, and facility infrastructure.

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Maintain facility grounds, common areas, and production support spaces as required.

  • Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance activities.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and safety requirements.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and documentation.

  • Support facility projects, renovations, expansions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Assist in the management of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and facility inventories.

  • Participate in audits and support corrective and preventive actions related to facility systems.

Qualifications

Education

  • Technical Degree, associate degree, or vocational certification in Facilities Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related field preferred.

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a related technical role.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

  • Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and compressed air systems.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

  • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and work order systems.

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance best practices.

Location: Cayey, P.R

Pay Details: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour
