Responsibilities include analyzing equipment history, conducting root cause analyses of critical failures, and supporting the design and deployment of new equipment with a focus on reliability and maintainability. The Reliability Engineer also contributes to Autonomous Maintenance initiatives and promotes a progressive maintenance strategy—from reactive to preventive, predictive, and ultimately preventive-by-design. • Assists in spare part reviews to ensure adequate stocking levels as determined by consumption due to normal wear and failure frequency and identifies risks of obsolescence and proposes mitigation strategies.

  • Introduces tools and techniques in performing preventive and predictive maintenance activity and prescribes frequency of activity through CMMS maintenance plans and provides training and support of precision maintenance processes such as alignment and balancing.

  • Develops a world class lubrication program and monitors performance and execution.

  • Supports autonomous activities and provides skills training to operations team members.

  • Drives proactivity performance through supervision of planners and participation in scheduling activities with planners and coordinators.

  • Ensures CMMS users have been trained in system utilization, and audits activity to sustain system integrity and serves as a SAP PM subject matter expert for the plant.
