Full job description

Job Summary:

SUNY Upstate Medical is in search of a highly motivated Data Coordinator who will be responsible for the collection, validation, analysis, and reporting of clinical and procedural data across the Heart and Vascular Center, including Cardiac Catheterization, Electrophysiology (EP), Vascular, and Structural Heart programs.

This position supports quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, accreditation standards, and national registry submissions to improve patient outcomes and ensure the delivery of high-quality cardiovascular care.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborates with Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, Nursing staff, Cardiovascular Technologists, Quality Departments, and hospital leadership to promote accurate clinical documentation, evidence-based practice, and continuous performance improvement throughout the cardiovascular service line.

Assist with track metrics, prepare reports, support regulatory and compliance requirements.

Collaborate with teams to implement sustainable improvements.

Support staff education by developing tools, sharing best practices, and enhancing staff understanding of quality measures and data-driven processes.

Maintaining this dedicated resource will strengthen organizational performance, improve outcomes, reduce risks associated with data gaps or inaccuracies.

Empower staff with the knowledge and resources needed to deliver safe, effective, and high-quality services.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

RN NYS licensure or eligible

Minimum of 2 years of Cardiovascular experience

Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, database applications, and electronic medical record systems.

Excellent written, analytical, oral communication and interpersonal skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong clinical knowledge of Cardiac Disease process and Cardiac Procedures. Understanding and experience in Cardiac and Vascular data registries and data collection processes. Excellent knowledge of Epic documentation system.

Monday - Friday, Days
