Secret Software Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Software Engineer to be located in the Huntsville or Colorado Springs area. The Software Engineer will be responsible for Java-based software development on the program, performing in-depth analysis and providing technical support for software products. The role involves maintaining, debugging, and configuring software, as well as designing, coding, testing, and integrating system applications. The engineer will interface with other system support groups to resolve issues, set standards, and enhance the efficiency of the operating system. Additionally, the position includes developing automation tools for operations, contributing to various phases of software systems programming, and occasionally requiring guidance for complex tasks.

PR: 50-81/hr DOE

Skills and Requirements

Education/Experience (Level 2): Bachelor's and 1+ years YOE (additional experience in lieu of degree acceptable) Education/Experience (Level 3): Bachelor's and 4+ years YOE (additional experience in lieu of degree acceptable) Education/Experience (Level 4): Bachelor's and 6+ years YOE (additional experience in lieu of degree acceptable) Secret clearance or higher Solid OOD/OOP experience in Java/JEE for enterprise application development (C++ may be considered secondary) Familiarity with Java foundation classes, toolkits, and server-side/database development. Knowledge of software practices such as coding standards, automated testing, automated build pipelines, and configuration management Experience with Unix/Linux and Windows platforms, software integration testing, and developing automated test scripts. Top Secret preferred SecPython experience
