SHIFT:

• Full time-Days, 36 hours per week -7a to 7p

Unit Description: The Sentara Princess Anne Hospital provides exceptional emergency care to patients 24 hours a day, seven days a week with expert staff, cutting-edge technology and specialty services, including:

• Board-certified emergency physicians

• Emergency nurses certified in advanced cardiac life support, trauma and pediatric certifications

• Pediatric-trained team to treat children of all ages

• Overnight observation rooms for children and a separate family-friendly waiting area

• Seamless connection to easily accessible radiology department

• Landing pad for Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance to ensure quicker treatment in emergency situations

Job Description: Sentara is a career destination for professional nursing. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient-centered care in a dynamic healthcare setting. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, delivering treatments, and supporting patients and families with education and compassionate service. The RN collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to monitor patient progress, make clinical adjustments, and advocate for the best patient outcomes, ensuring safety and adherence to evidence-based practices.

Education:

• ADN required, BSN or higher preferred.

Certification:

• Virginia or compact multistate RN (Registered Nurse) license in good standing.

• BLS within 90 days of hire.

• ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire

Experience:

• 2 years Nursing Experience in a hospital setting.

• RN Experience in the ED highly preferred.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
