Department: General Lab Point of Care

Schedule: Day | PRN | 1 day per week and as needed.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Lead and oversee point-of-care testing operations to ensure accurate, timely results that support safe and effective patient care across multiple departments.

  • Train and support clinical staff performing bedside testing to maintain competency, confidence, and compliance with quality and safety standards.

  • Monitor testing quality, equipment performance, and supply levels to prevent delays and ensure uninterrupted patient care.

  • Identify and resolve testing or equipment issues quickly by coordinating service, troubleshooting errors, and maintaining reliable diagnostic workflows.

  • Audit and maintain documentation and compliance processes to uphold regulatory standards and ensure readiness for inspections and quality reviews.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Medical Technologist (ASCP) credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) preferred.

  • Laboratory Tech credentialed from the American Board of Bioanalysis (AAB) preferred.

  • Laboratory Tech credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) preferred.

  • Medical Lab Scientist (ASCP) credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC) preferred.

  • Medical Tech credentialed from the American Board of Bioanalysis (AAB) preferred.

  • Medical Tech credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) preferred.

Education:

  • Associate’s degree in medical technology, medical laboratory scientist, human sciences; or completed a military 50-60 week technician program and meets the minimum CLIA requirements; OR education qualifications as stated per CLIA requirements required.

Work Experience:

  • 2 years experience required.

  • Medical Lab Technologist

  • Minimum 2 years of lab experience.
