THE JOB The Social Insights Analyst will play a key role in Live Nation Entertainment’s Concert division, living and breathing in social listening, reporting and analytics from start to finish, including query building, dashboard development and delivering reports. This role will uncover insights and trends for actionable storytelling opportunities, guide marketing strategy, and inform cross-functional partners on social, cultural, and influencer trends. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Analytics & Strategy, this position is ideal for someone who thrives in building scalable analytics systems while staying deeply connected to cultural and platform trends and developments.
We're looking for a data-minded storyteller who lives at the intersection of social media and analytics. You'll own reporting and measurement for earned conversation tied to tours, on-sales, and artist activations. This is a great fit for someone who's equally comfortable in a spreadsheet and a comment section.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
- Own measurement and analysis of earned social conversation: mentions, share of voice, sentiment, engagement on non-owned posts, organic reach, and virality across Instagram, TikTok, X, YouTube, and emerging platforms.
- Run social listening across tour cycles (from announcements, on-sales to live moments), tracking fan sentiment, conversation volume, and flagging shifts in real time.
- Measure fan- and creator-generated content (UGC): what's made, how it spreads, which moments drive organic amplification, and how artists, media, and fan accounts pick it up.
- Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports (daily, weekly, campaign-level, ad-hoc, and post-mortem), using Boolean logic to sharpen queries and insights delivery.
- Run competitive and benchmark analysis to contextualize our performance.
- Build alert systems for emerging artist topics, trends, and brand risks, supporting Community Management, Marketing, and PR/Comms in shaping response messaging.
- Partner with social listening-tool vendors and cross-functional teams to improve benchmarks, KPIs, alerts, and depth of insight.
- Uncover fan insights through audience demographics to help guide campaign planning
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
- 2–4 years in social media analytics, social listening, and/or digital insights with a focus on earned measurement (agency or in-house social team preferred).
- Hands-on experience with social listening and publishing tools (Meltwater, Brandwatch, Sprout, Quid, etc.) plus platform-native analytics.
- Comfortable with audience demographic tools such as Audiense as well as platform follower demographics through CreatorIQ.
- Fluency in earned-social metrics (share of voice, sentiment, mention volume) and a clear sense of which ones actually matter.
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and a solid grasp of Boolean logic for query development.
- Proven ability to own analytics end-to-end (query design, reporting, dashboard development and maintenance), with a track record of spotting and fixing gaps in reporting infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of social platforms as both a fan and an analyst: how conversation forms, why things spread, what fans respond to, plus genuine curiosity about cultural trends, emerging formats, and creator marketing.
- Strong communication skills: you can turn a spike in conversation into a one-slide "so what" for non-technical stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple projects and deadlines under pressure.
- A proactive, collaborative team player who flags insights before they're asked for and adapts to evolving leadership needs.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Analytics, or a related field.
NICE TO HAVE:
- Passion for live music, touring, and artist marketing.
- Experience with sentiment analysis, text/topic classification, or unstructured conversation data.
- Familiarity with creator/influencer earned-coverage measurement.
- Experience connecting earned social signals to broader marketing or fan-growth outcomes.
