Job Title: Packer Job Description

Join our team as a Packer, where you'll work in a well-maintained facility and become part of a family-feel environment. We offer two shift options: 1st Shift from Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm, with a 1-hour lunch break, and 2nd Shift from Monday to Friday, 3pm to 11pm, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Responsibilities

• Package finished products according to company specifications and customer requirements.

• Inspect products for defects, damage, or packaging discrepancies prior to shipment.

• Apply labels, lot numbers, expiration dates, and other required product information accurately.

• Assemble packaging materials, boxes, and shipping containers.

• Verify product counts and ensure packing documentation is complete and accurate.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety and quality guidelines.

• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and company policies.

• Report quality concerns, equipment issues, or inventory shortages to supervisors.

• Assist with inventory counts and material handling as needed.

• Support other production and warehouse activities as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Ability to read and write 60% English.

• 6 months of manufacturing or production experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Packaging or GMP experience is a plus.

Work Environment

Work in a clean and slightly cooler facility. Adhere to a dress code consisting of a provided long-sleeve shirt, pants, and close-toed shoes. Additionally, wear a hairnet, mask, gloves, and booties, and avoid wearing acrylic nails or fake eyelashes. A wedding ring is acceptable.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Prospect, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
