Engineering Technologist

Job Description

The Engineer Technologist will be assigned to a project that requires utility pole design mapping. They will be given survey packets of the poles they are mapping. These surveys were collected by the people out in the field. With the survey packets they will know the geographic location of the poles and the different assets (wires, boxes, etc.) attached to each pole. They will use all this information to digitally create the design "distribution" map.

Skills and Requirements

• 1-5 years of experience within design, drafting, GIS, similar experience within telecom, fiber, networking, engineering, construction, utilities, etc.
• An Associates or Bachelor's Degree within a similar field be cannot hold a Bachelor's of Engineering or Architecture. Sufficient Degrees include Design, Drafting, GIS (with an intent to be more on the design side), Engineering Techology, Industrial Design, and more
• Valid drivers license
• Maximo, Engineering Work Management Systems (WMS,GDT, etc), design manager softwares
• Ex-Lineman, pole foreman software, pole distribution softwares, GIS
• Previous experience within power, energy, utilities
