Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Network System Administrator to be located in the Colorado Springs area. In this role, you will maintain the smooth operation of local area, worldwide, and virtual private networks (VPN), while planning, evaluating, and coordinating the installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements across data and voice communication networks. You will maintain technical expertise across all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, including routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, and gateways. Day to day, you will deploy, configure, and maintain Juniper enterprise EX-series switches and SRX-series firewalls using Junos OS, as well as diagnose and resolve complex Layer 1 through Layer 3 network issues, routing protocol failures, and performance bottlenecks. Additional responsibilities include performing Junos OS firmware upgrades, hardware replacements, and capacity planning to ensure high availability.

Beyond hands-on network operations, you may propose solutions to management to ensure all communication requirements are met based on current usage and future needs, configuring those solutions to optimize cost savings. You will prepare and maintain appropriate network documentation, including operational instructions, and provide regular monitoring and network analysis to support short- and long-range planning for in-house systems. You may also coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment and design networks or network segments, including the selection of hardware and software packages. This position requires strong analytical thinking and independent problem-solving, along with hands-on experience working with Juniper hardware and Junos OS.

PR: 49-65/hr

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's in STEM w/ 5+ years of experience TS/SCI w/ CI Poly Security + or equivalent Experience with COMSEC equipment, policies and procedures Juniper experience required Implement and monitor firewall policies, IPsec VPN tunnels, and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements. Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, and MNHA, technologies. Experience with cable infrastructure including fabrication, layout, design, documentation, termination, and testing (e.g. Copper, Fiber, Cat 6, Serial and COAX) Basic RHEL and Windows troubleshooting experience On call hours once every 10 weeks required Travel up to 10% CONUS & OCONUS JNCIP-ENT Cert
