OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking an IT Field Support Specialist for our Building Group located in LaPorte, IN.

The IT Field Support Specialist provides daily service and support to users on a Mega Project via phone, ticketing system, or walk-ups for computer hardware, software and mobile devices. Assist Infrastructure Project Manager with jobsite setups as needed, Assist Network Engineers with various tasks at jobsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide daily onsite and remote technical support; including network, office applications,printers, computer equipment, and mobile devices.

  • Assist with setting up networking equipment for job site. May assist with set-up of other jobs in the area.

  • Outfit and support video conferencing as needed.

  • Follow procedures and understand basic concepts to handle all Level 1 & 2 Support KnowledgeMatrix items

  • Work toward becoming Subject Matter Expert on all Level 1 Support Knowledge Matrix items.

  • Participate in daily huddle meetings with Corporate IT and scheduled meetings with Field IT personnel and Corporate IT Managers.

  • Report weekly/bi-weekly with IT Managers to discuss issues, concerns, successes in area ofinfluence.

  • Work closely with Corporate IT team to ensure corporate IT Standards are implemented at the job.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Information Technology or related field or relevant experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in IT support related field - will consider internships and part-time experience as well

  • Must have a strong ability to work with many customers including guests and business partners in addition to supporting your team

  • Strong follow-up skills and ability to resolve IT-related issues in a timely manner

  • Exceptional customer service etiquette and responsiveness is A MUST

  • Occasional evening/weekend hours will be required and occasional travel throughout area

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be a self-starter and not necessarily waiting for direction

  • Must be able to work with multi-discipline teams

  • Possess a 'can do', enthusiastic attitude

  • Must be able to speak, read, understand and write in English
