Job Description

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support the execution of a large-scale, highly technical capital program. This role is responsible for coordinating project documentation, supporting schedule and cost management efforts, facilitating stakeholder communication, and driving project controls processes throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting complex projects within life sciences, mission critical, advanced manufacturing, semiconductor, industrial, healthcare, or similar technical environments. The Project Engineer will work closely with project managers, project executives, design consultants, project controls teams, vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives while maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.

This position is a project support and coordination role focused on planning, communication, reporting, and document management.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and track project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, drawing revisions, meeting minutes, permits, contracts, and project correspondence.

Support day-to-day project coordination activities across multiple stakeholder groups.

Review project documentation and assist in identifying design, scope, schedule, and coordination issues.

Coordinate with project management, design teams, consultants, and vendors to support project milestones.

Assist in the preparation of project reports, dashboards, executive summaries, and status updates.

Monitor procurement activities, equipment tracking, and material delivery schedules.

Support project schedule management through progress tracking and milestone reporting.

Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, change management documentation, and cost reporting activities.

Maintain accurate project records and ensure documentation remains organized and audit-ready.

Support quality documentation and project compliance requirements.

Facilitate project meetings and track action items to completion.

Partner with project controls teams to support planning, reporting, and project performance initiatives.

Identify project risks and assist with mitigation planning.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related discipline.

3-7 years of Project Engineer experience supporting large commercial, industrial, manufacturing, life sciences, mission critical, healthcare, semiconductor, or advanced technology projects.

Experience supporting projects valued at $100M+.

Strong understanding of project delivery processes, project controls, and project documentation workflows.

Experience managing RFIs, submittals, drawing logs, meeting documentation, and change management processes.

Familiarity with project scheduling concepts and milestone tracking.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced project environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, or similar project management platforms. Experience supporting life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, mission critical, semiconductor, manufacturing, healthcare, or industrial projects.

Exposure to projects during early planning, design, infrastructure, structural, and building development phases.

Experience supporting large campus developments or multi-building programs.

Understanding of permitting, utility coordination, building systems, and project controls processes.

Familiarity with schedule reporting, forecasting, and cost management practices.

Experience working within highly regulated project environments.
