Full job description
This Aircraft Mechanic 1 will work in a back shop component repair facility in the prop and rotor shop supporting rotary wing aviation.
Responsibilities
-
Candidate will work on components from three MDS aircraft: MH-6/MH-47/MH-60.

Responsible for inspecting, adjusting, repairing, and returning to service power train components including gearboxes, rotor heads, tail rotor systems, stabilators, rotor dampeners, and other components.

Will use supplied technical references to complete all assigned work.

Document all work completed in ACN.

Will use PPE and hazmat products IAW with technical publications and site procedures.
Qualifications

Must have 6 years of aviation rotary wing maintenance experience, preferably with 2 years of component repair experience.

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Must possess or be able to obtain secret clearance.

Service school producing army MOS 15D or equivalent desirable.

Must have own tools and toolbox.

Must be familiar with digital record keeping systems such as ACN, ULLS-A, ELAS, etc.

Must have have the physical capability to work in tight spaces, at heights, on wings, use ladders, operate tugs, operate lifts, bend, squat, kneel for long periods of time.
