Pay or shift range: $116,000 USD to $145,000 USD

The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Description

We are looking for an experienced, results-driven Director of Operations to join our senior leadership team. This is a key executive leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence across the hotel, with oversight of Food & Beverage and Rooms Operations, while partnering closely with the General Manager and Executive Committee to deliver strong guest experiences, financial performance and associate engagement.

The ideal candidate is an accomplished hotel leader who understands that great operations require more than managing the day-to-day. We are looking for someone who can lead leaders, establish clear expectations, use data to identify opportunities, hold teams accountable for results, and create an environment where associates are engaged and empowered to take care of our guests.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As Director of Operations, you will provide strategic and hands-on leadership to the hotel’s operational departments, with a particular emphasis on Food & Beverage and Rooms. You will work closely with department leaders to improve guest satisfaction, strengthen service delivery, achieve financial and productivity goals, and ensure consistent execution of Marriott and hotel standards.

You will analyze operational and financial performance, identify trends and opportunities, develop action plans, and follow through to ensure results. You will also play an important role in developing our leadership team, strengthening communication and accountability, supporting associate relations, and creating a culture where both guest service and business performance are priorities.

This position serves as a key partner to the General Manager and will be highly visible throughout the hotel, particularly during periods of high occupancy, group and convention activity, significant Food & Beverage events, and other critical operating periods.

What You Should Bring to the Table:

We are seeking a proven hotel leader with previous senior-level hotel leadership experience and a strong Food & Beverage background. Previous leadership experience within a Marriott-branded hotel is required.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong operational leadership experience in a full-service hotel environment

  • Significant previous Food & Beverage leadership experience

  • Previous senior-level hotel leadership experience , such as Director of Operations, Director of Food & Beverage, Director of Rooms, Hotel Manager or comparable role

  • Previous Marriott-branded hotel experience

  • A strong commitment to guest service and service recovery

  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue, profitability, productivity and expense management

  • Strong understanding of hotel financial statements, forecasting, budgeting and operational metrics

  • Proven ability to lead and develop department heads and other leaders

  • Strong associate relations skills and a commitment to building an engaged, accountable and respectful workplace

  • Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • The ability to balance strategic leadership with a willingness to be highly visible and engaged in the operation
