Position Title: General's Cupboard Assistant - Student Staff - Work Study / Part time
Number of Positions: 1
Reporting Structure and Supervision: General's Cupboard Manager, Paula Fallon [email protected]
Department: Counseling Center
Main Focus of position:
The General's Cupboard is for all current Herkimer County Community College students and stocks a variety of FREE canned and packaged food and other non-perishable items, as well as personal care items. Student Staff would be expected to support the mission of The General's Cupboard; be familiar with The General's Cupboard policies and procedures, as well as other resources available; complete required training including The Emergency Food Assistance Program Annual Civil Rights Training (which will be provided).
Responsibilities [Work responsibilities/duties]:

Ensure visitors swipe their ID when entering/exiting the Cupboard

Assist students with selecting and bagging items

Record items received in check-out log
-
Shelve food items, toiletries and other supplies

Report all issues related to cleanliness, organization, low food levels, student recipient concerns

Availability during General's Cupboard open hours required
Additional Information:
The General's Cupboard is open and staffing is needed, Tuesdays from 1-3 pm and Fridays from 12-2pm
