The Field Service Supervisor leads and supports the Lift Technician team and Equipment and Service (ES) Technicians responsible for field service, installation, inspection, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities at customer locations. This role combines technical service knowledge with people leadership to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with customer expectations and Our Values. The Field Service Supervisor builds strong relationships with teammates and customers while promoting a culture focused on safety, accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence. This position coordinates field schedules and resources across the ES service operations, provides technical and operational guidance, supports technician development, and helps drive consistent performance across the field service team. The supervisor also partners closely with internal teams and customers to resolve escalated issues, improve processes, and ensure high-quality service delivery across the ES service functions.
Lead, coach, and support Lift Technicians and ES Service Technicians in daily field service, installation, inspection, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities
Schedule and coordinate ES field service work to ensure customer commitments, response expectations, and department goals are achieved
Provide and coordinate technical guidance and troubleshooting support for complex lift equipment and ES service issues, engaging appropriate internal or manufacturer resources when needed
Promote and enforce safe work practices across all field service activities and ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures
Build strong customer relationships by responding to escalated ES service concerns and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
Review customer needs and assist with preparing quotes for repairs, replacements, installations, and preventative maintenance services
Monitor ES technician productivity, work quality, utilization, and completion of service documentation
Conduct ride-alongs, field observations, and coaching conversations with Lift Technicians and ES Service Technicians to support teammate development and performance
Support hiring, onboarding, training, certification, and performance management activities for Lift Technicians and ES Service Technicians
Ensure preventative maintenance schedules, inspections, recurring service commitments, and customer service timelines are completed accurately and on time
Coordinate tools, parts, equipment, vehicles, and inventory needed to support ES field operations
Balance field resources and technician assignments across the ES service needs based on customer priority, technician capability, geography, and workload
Partner with internal departments to resolve operational issues and improve field service processes
Review and approve timecards, PTO requests, and field service expenses as assigned. Timely closure and review of workorders for final billing.
Maintain compliance with DOT requirements, vehicle maintenance standards, and company driving policies
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, service quality, efficiency, teammate engagement, and customer experience
Complete administrative reporting, service documentation, performance tracking, and other duties as assigned
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Current Lift Technician Certification or ability to obtain certification; applicable ES or manufacturer-specific certifications are preferred as required by the service scope
Experience and/or Training:
Minimum 5 years of experience in field service, including troubleshooting, installing, maintaining, or repairing lift, automotive service, fluid handling, lubrication, or related equipment
Previous experience leading, training, or mentoring technicians in a field service or installation environment
Experience working directly with customers in a field service environment
License/ Certification:
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical card or health card
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong mechanical, troubleshooting, and technical repair skills
Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond effectively in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with ERP systems, service reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications
Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, service documentation, and technical drawings
Commitment to workplace safety and operational excellence
Education:
Associate degree in a mechanical, technical, or related field
License/ Certification:
Advanced lift, ES, or manufacturer-specific technical certifications and training
CDL License
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience managing multi-discipline service schedules, labor planning, and field operations
Experience with preventative maintenance programs and service operations metrics
Familiarity with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems
Experience supporting government, fleet, or industrial customers
Physical, Mental, Environmental Demands:
Frequent travel to customer locations and job sites
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
Ability to work in elevated spaces and maneuver around equipment in tight spaces
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching throughout the workday
Exposure to varying weather conditions, moderate noise levels, and industrial environments
Ability to safely operate company vehicles, tools, and material handling equipment
Combination of office, warehouse, and field service work environments with < 25% overnight
The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between $72,800 and $90,000 annually. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:

Education and certifications: Any additional qualifications that enhance your ability to succeed in the role.
