Automation Testing - SDET 1 / SDET 2 Location: Chennai Experience: 1 – 6 years Who Are We? M2P Fintech is a leading Banking Technology Platform, shaping the future of digital finance. About the Role M2P Fintech is looking for SDET 1 / SDET 2 professionals specializing in Automation Testing to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications. You will work closely with development and QA teams to design, develop, and execute automated test solutions that support fast-paced product releases. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining automated test frameworks, creating reusable test scripts, identifying and reporting defects, and continuously improving test coverage across applications. Your expertise in automation tools, testing best practices, and quality engineering principles will help deliver robust, scalable, and high-quality software solutions while meeting project timelines and business objectives.
What Will You Do in this Role: As an SDET specializing in automation testing at M2P, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications. You will collaborate closely with our development and testing teams to automate testing processes and streamline quality assurance. Your expertise in automation frameworks and testing methodologies will be key in achieving our goal of delivering robust and flawless software solutions to our clients without compromising on the deadlines. Your experience in both manual and automation testing will be at play. The ratio of manual testing will be higher initially, however the ultimate goal is to automate most of the testing, so that ratio will change as the project progresses, to more automated testing and less manual testing.

Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for web applications, mobile applications, and backend services.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define automation strategies and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Implement and enhance test frameworks and tools to meet evolving project needs.

Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.

Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.

Participate in agile/scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospective meetings. What You’ll Need to be Successful in this Role:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).

Proven experience (X years) as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or similar role.

Hands-on experience with automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Appium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, etc.

Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar.

Experience with API testing and proficiency in using tools like Postman or similar.

Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.

Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Agile/scrum experience is a plus.
