Executive Director – Care to Stay Home Spokane
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with evening and weekend flexibility as needed for operational oversight or emergency escalation
Care To Stay Home has served families across the Spokane region for 18 years, helping older adults remain safe, connected, and independent at home. With an established team and a trusted reputation for exceptional care, we are ready to expand our reach.
We are seeking an Executive Director with a proven record of growing a business, leading strong teams, and delivering exceptional client care. This hands-on role carries direct responsibility for business development, client experience, team performance, and daily operations. Working closely with the owner, you will set priorities, turn strategy into action, and lead the continued growth of our Spokane operation.
You will have a direct voice in how we grow, close collaboration with the owner, and build a stronger organization for clients, caregivers, and families.
We want an enterprising leader who can show us what they have accomplished—and articulate what they are ready to build next. Someone who sees opportunities, takes initiative, follows through, and holds themselves and their team accountable for results.
What You Will Do
• Drive Strategic Growth: Develop and execute practical growth plans that increase our active client base and weekly service hours while maintaining exceptional care.
• Build a Strong Team Culture: Establish clear expectations, encourage open communication, and build a supportive culture where people take responsibility and help each other succeed.
• Develop Strategic Partnerships: Build lasting relationships with healthcare professionals, referral sources, and community organizations that strengthen our reputation and generate new business.
• Manage Risk and Pursue Opportunity: Identify operational risks, address concerns early, and evaluate new opportunities for sustainable growth.
• Support Capital and Expansion Strategies: Work with the owner to evaluate funding needs and develop relationships with potential capital partners or investors when appropriate.
• Represent Care To Stay Home: Serve as a visible, credible leader at community, healthcare, and business events.
• Own the Client Experience: Oversee the client journey, from initial inquiry and in-home assessment through care planning, service delivery, retention, and discharge.
• Lead and Develop Managers: Coach and support the leaders responsible for recruiting, scheduling, client services, and marketing. Set priorities, monitor performance, and address gaps.
• Oversee Daily Operations: Keep departments aligned, resolve service and staffing challenges, and ensure commitments to clients and caregivers are consistently met.
What You Bring
Education and Leadership Background
A bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Leaders from home care, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, hospice, and home health are encouraged to apply. Licensed Nursing Home Administrators are welcome, especially those who have led census growth and developed strong community partnerships. An LNHA license is not required.
Experience and Skills
• Demonstrated Results: At least three years of successful leadership experience, with a proven record of growing a home care branch, senior care organization, healthcare service, or comparable relationship-driven business.
• Business and Operational Judgment: The ability to translate growth goals into clear priorities, sound decisions, and measurable results.
• Team Leadership: Experience developing managers, setting expectations, and building an accountable, supportive workplace.
• Business Development: Strong sales and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to independently cultivate referral partnerships and represent the organization.
• Commitment to Our Mission: Respect for older adults and a strong commitment to supporting the caregivers who serve them.
