Duties
If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for Administrative Division. Typical work assignments will include: Assisting the Contracting Officer Representative for construction, maintenance, service contracts and all minor repair projects. Responsible for maintaining and administering a variety of budget and financial management activities. Monitoring and tracking obligations and expenditures in addition to preparing travel itineraries. Assisting in formulation justification and execution of the office budget. Responsible for administrating routine contracting and procurement activities. Reviewing requisitions and formal advertising or negotiations. Coordinating a variety of facility maintenance and/or repair activities for offices workspaces. Promoting and coordinating effective records management programs with manages and employees by providing guidance and training. Provide support services in relation to space management, records, supplies and equipment, office security, internal controls, health and safety. Projecting and analyzing space needs based on proposed initiatives, staff changes and technology improvements. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress. Qualifications
GS-9: To be eligible at the GS-09 level, you must meet at least ONE of the following conditions, as defined below: Specialized Experience, Education, OR a combination of Education and Experience. Specialized Experience: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level in Federal service which could have been gained in the federal, public, and/or private sector. Specialized Experience is defined as monitoring and tracking budget obligations and/or expenditures; reviewing requisitions and/or administering procurement activities; providing administrative support in areas such as human resources, records management and/or facilities and space management. OR Education: One of the following types of education in a related field (e.g., Business, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources): master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Education at the graduate level must be in an accredited college or university and must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position. OR Combining Education and Experience: A combination of specialized experience and graduate education which when combined meets 100% of the requirements for the position. Only graduate education in excess of one (1) full year is creditable. To compute the percentage divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100% to qualify for this grade level. Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP)- The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies. If your agency has notified you in writing that you are a displaced employee eligible for ICTAP consideration, you may receive selection priority if: 1) this vacancy is within your ICTAP eligibility; 2) you apply under the instructions in the announcement; and 3) you are found well-qualified for this vacancy. If it is determined you meet minimum qualification requirements, your application will then be placed in one of three categories: Best Qualified, Highly Qualified, or Qualified. Within these categories, applicants eligible for Veterans' Preference will receive selection priority over non-veteran preference eligibles.
