Job Title: Industrial/Process Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IEngineer to support our manufacturing operations through process improvement, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with production teams to enhance efficiency, maintain standardized work, update procedures and work instructions, and drive operational excellence throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement manufacturing improvements.

  • Support production operations and collaborate with production teams.

  • Lead continuous improvement events and initiatives.

  • Conduct process reviews to identify areas for enhancement.

  • Implement waste reduction strategies and ensure sustainable operational processes.

  • Document and maintain operational processes.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.

  • 5+ years of manufacturing engineering/process improvement experience in a metal fabrication environment.

  • Strong Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience.

  • Proficiency in developing and improving SOPs, work instructions, and standardized processes.

  • Ability to work independently on the manufacturing floor and drive cross-functional problem solving.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

  • Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience with SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD preferred.

  • Self-starter capable of working with limited daily supervision.

Work Environment

The position is based in a manufacturing facility environment, requiring significant time spent on the production floor partnering with operators and supervisors. The role involves exposure to fabrication and welding operations in a fast-paced setting supporting multiple value streams. The facility includes areas that are not climate-controlled, and the position requires hands-on engagement with production teams and processes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saltillo, MS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $57.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
