  • Department: Birth and Women's Center

  • Schedule: Day Shift l PRN

How you’ll make an impact in this role

  • Empower new families by providing personalized clinical assessments and hands-on instruction to help mothers and infants achieve their unique breastfeeding goals.

  • Mentor the broader clinical team as a subject matter expert, serving as the go-to resource for physicians and staff to elevate the standard of lactation care across the unit.

  • Design evidence-based educational pathways and patient teaching plans that simplify complex clinical guidance into actionable steps for parents.

  • Drive clinical excellence by contributing to data-driven tools that monitor patient progress and directly improve long-term health outcomes for infants and mothers.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. • Preferred Credential(s):

  • BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred.

  • Consultant Certification specializing in Lactation credentialed from the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) preferred.

  • Certification specializing in The S.T.A.B.L.E Program preferred.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences:

  • Minimum 2 years work experience as a Registered Nurse required.
