Job Description

The Project Assistant supports operations and project management teams by handling a wide range of administrative and coordination tasks for construction projects. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment while consistently delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Support project management and operations teams with day-to-day administrative tasks for construction projects.

  • Assist with project coordination activities, including scheduling, tracking, and documentation to keep projects organized and on schedule.

  • Perform document control duties such as creating, updating, organizing, and maintaining project files and records.

  • Provide administrative support including data entry, preparing reports, and maintaining spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • Facilitate communication between project team members, internal departments, and external stakeholders to ensure information flows smoothly.

  • Deliver high-quality customer service in person and through telecommunications, responding promptly and professionally to inquiries and requests.

  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

  • Assist with project administration on the construction site, helping to ensure that processes and procedures are followed.

  • Adapt to changing project needs and support emergency business demands, including working over weekends with short notice when required.

Essential Skills

  • 35 years of related administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong skills in Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience in customer service, both face-to-face and through telecommunications.

  • Capability to meet emergency business demands, including weekend work with short notice.

  • Experience in construction industry environments is a plus

Work Environment

This role is based on an active project site in Bowling Green, OH, supporting substation and transmission construction activities. The environment is fast-paced and project-driven, with work performed closely alongside operations and project management teams. The organization is family owned and operated, recognized as a national leader in electrical transmission and distribution construction with a long track record of success.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
