Summary

The Federal Reserve Board (Board) provides students opportunities for career success. The Board’s Internship program is designed to provide valuable work experience for graduate students considering careers including, but not limited to, economics, finance and accounting, information systems, and data analysis. The Board believes that by combining academic endeavors with project-related work experience, qualified and capable college students can gain the practical knowledge need in a competitive global job market. Internships are paid positions with salaries commensurate with credit hours; internships may be in-person, remote or hybrid, depending on the needs of the team. Employment in the Board’s internship program is granted to U.S. citizens. Applicants must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program at an accredited university and returning to continue studies after the internship. Interns receive a syllabus or research project plan outlining their projects and goals for the internship. Interns are assigned a supervisor or mentor to guide them through their internship, and regular check-in meetings with their manager to manage performance expectations and assist with learning goals. Interns have access to a wide range of training programs and events for professional development purposes.

Position Requirements

About LFBO Supervision The Large and Foreign Banking Organizations (LFBO) Supervision and Shared National Credit (SNC) function oversees the supervision of U.S. firms with assets of $100 billion or more that are not included in the GSIB program (Large Banking Organizations, or LBO) and foreign banking organizations (FBO) with combined U.S. assets of $100 billion or more, as well as the SNC program. What You Will Do Support the LFBO and SNC function in executing its responsibilities through various projects that involve the following:

• Collect and analyze data related to bank holding companies, commercial banks, and foreign banking organizations.
• Assist in tracking and monitoring key supervisory priorities, projects, and deliverables
• Prepare briefing materials, presentations, and executive summaries for senior leadership
• Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications Currently enrolled in a graduate degree program, with a graduation date of August 2027 or later, and a focus in finance, business, economics, public policy, or a related field.• Robust analytical thinking, qualitative research abilities, and attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex information clearly
• Collaboration and working in team environment, interpersonal skills
• Quantitative and qualitative experience/literacy (able to interpret numbers and data)
• Experience or interest in banking or bank supervision and regulation

Position Details• Seeking an intern to start as soon as possible this fall for an approximately 1-year duration.• At least 15-20 hrs./week during the school year and then full-time/40-hrs. during the summer.

• On-site/in-office commitment required throughout the duration of the internship •
