Description
We are looking for an Equipment Services Manager to lead equipment and facilities support operations for a Contract to Permanent position based in San Luis Obispo, California. This role will oversee a small technical team, manage fleet and facility upkeep, and help ensure a large portfolio of leased tanks remains safe, reliable, and well maintained. The position works closely with account managers, customers, vendors, and internal partners to deliver responsive service, strengthen preventive maintenance practices, and support day-to-day operational performance.
Responsibilities:

Direct and support a team of four technicians, setting priorities and guiding daily maintenance activities across equipment, vehicles, and facilities.

Oversee service planning for a fleet of seven vehicles and multiple facilities to help maintain safe, efficient, and dependable operations.

Manage maintenance tracking and service coordination for approximately 3,000 leased tanks placed at customer properties.

Partner with account managers and customers to address service needs, provide updates, and resolve equipment-related concerns in a timely manner.

Build productive relationships with vendors and contractors to support repair work, inspections, and ongoing facility and equipment upkeep.

Establish and reinforce preventive maintenance programs that reduce downtime and improve asset reliability.

Monitor asset and equipment records using maintenance management tools to support inspection schedules, repair history, and inventory visibility.

Identify opportunities to improve service responsiveness, maintenance workflows, and overall customer experience through practical process enhancements.
Requirements • At least 2 years of experience in facilities, equipment, or maintenance operations leadership.

Demonstrated experience leading people and collaborating effectively across teams and functions.

Strong background in preventive maintenance planning and execution.

Ability to communicate confidently with clients, internal stakeholders, and external service providers.

Experience with facility inspections, asset tracking, and equipment inventory management.

Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems and related maintenance documentation.
