Job Description

Position Summary The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the manufacturing facility. This position oversees customer quotations, procurement, production, inventory, quality, shipping, maintenance, safety, and personnel to ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and to customer specifications. The Site Manager serves as the primary leader of the satellite facility and is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the operation from receipt of customer inquiries through final shipment. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong business acumen, manufacturing experience, and the ability to balance customer service, operational efficiency, and profitability. Essential Responsibilities Customer & Sales Support Prepare accurate and timely quotations for customer inquiries. Work directly with customers to clarify project scope and delivery expectations. Monitor quoted work through production and delivery. Procurement & Inventory Purchase raw materials, components, and outside services to support production schedules. Monitor inventory levels to balance customer demand and inventory investment. Work with main facility to confirm accurate inventory. Operations & Production Plan, schedule, and oversee daily manufacturing operations. Coordinate fabrication, assembly, inspection, and shipping activities. Monitor production schedules to meet customer commitments. Ensure compliance with company quality and safety standards and customer specifications. Manage a team of 1-3 production employees. Shipping & Logistics Oversee packaging, shipping, and logistics activities. Coordinate freight carriers and delivery schedules. Coordination with Corporate Communicate with corporate Accounting to provide accurate costs and for profit and loss management. Communicate with corporate Sales to provide accurate forecasting and staffing requirements. Compensation: $115-120k. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements

Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience. 7+ years of manufacturing experience. 5+ years in a leadership role with responsibility for operations. Experience preparing customer quotations and estimating manufacturing costs. Experience purchasing raw materials and managing supplier relationships. Strong understanding of production planning, inventory management, and shipping logistics. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills. Experience with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office. Preferred Experience in industrial fabrication.
