Shift: Monday – Friday 8:00 am -4:30 pm Location: Ames, IA 50010
In this Accounting Support Technician 2 role, you will:
- Provide technical support for financial and accounting matters
- Audit, reconcile, deposit and report on financial transactions
- Review, research and adjust funding transactions and discrepancies
- Process financial transactions following DOT policies
- Assist customers with accounting-based questions

Applicants must meet at least one of the following minimum requirements to qualify for positions in this job classification:
- Three years of full-time work experience inprocessing financial or related data within established systems and procedures, including verifying, entering, or maintaining transaction records.
- A total of three years of education and/or full-time experience (as described in number one), where thirty semester hours of accredited college or university coursework in accounting or business equals one year of full-time experience.
- Current, continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes eighteen months of full-time work as an Accounting Support Technician 1.
