Logistics Specialist

Job Description

• Transportation & Route Coordination

• Coordinate and schedule transportation activities to meet customer delivery requirements.

• Manage and optimize home patient delivery routes across multiple facilities.

• Analyze distribution processes, transportation costs, resource utilization, and operational challenges.

• Develop and implement solutions that improve operational efficiency.

• Arrange alternative freight transportation when necessary.

• Fleet & Driver Support

• Prepare and distribute daily paperwork for drivers and field operations teams.

• Act as a primary point of contact for drivers experiencing delivery issues.

• Coordinate driver coverage for vacations, holidays, and unexpected absences using a rolling 12-week schedule.

• Support up to 50+ CDL drivers operating across Texas.

• Partner with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to support:

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

• Experience in logistics, transportation, dispatch, routing, fleet operations, or distribution.

• Knowledge of transportation and DOT compliance requirements.

• Experience supporting delivery operations in a high-volume environment.

• Familiarity with third-party logistics (3PL) operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Prairie, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
