Job Description

The Kit Assembler is responsible for accurately assembling and packaging DNA testing kits to meet company quality standards and customer requirements. This role is essential to ensuring that each kit is properly prepared, labeled, and inspected before distribution. A successful candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and able to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assemble and package DNA testing kits according to company specifications and quality standards.
  • Inspects all parts for proper assembly and cosmetic defects.
  • Perform in-process quality checks on finished products.
  • Support all efforts and procedures to maintain optimal working conditions.
  • Handle materials efficiently, ensuring minimal waste and proper storage of supplies.
  • Adhere to safety and operational protocols to maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Continually work to achieve assigned production goals.
  • Prevent mix-up of products, materials, labels, and other components.
  • Maintain accurate records of assembled kits and inventory levels.
  • Ensure and maintain compliance with the Company’s quality system requirements through training and adherence to policies, procedures and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned or become evident.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One (1) to two (2) years previous assembly/packaging experience preferred.
  • Experience in a regulated medical device manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment a plus.
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Ability to alternate between standing and sitting, stoop, bend, reach, pull, and push.
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies or finished product.
  • Must be able to identify and differentiate kit contents.
  • Grasping and manipulation using both hands.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Manual dexterity to assemble diagnostic kits repeatedly.
