Full job description
Job Title: Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Construction Coordinator
Location: Onsite – onsite Kemmerer, WY
Type: Contract
Compensation: $49.00 - $81.00
Responsibilities
-
Implement and oversee site-specific safety and environmental programs, ensuring total regulatory compliance on complex construction projects

Conduct comprehensive daily site audits to enforce OSHA 1926 standards, identify safety hazards, and ensure safety protocols are followed
-
Manage site compliance with EPA mandates, including Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and NPDES permits, fugitive dust controls, and hazardous waste remediation

Exercise absolute authority to halt any work activity deemed unsafe, non-compliant, or posing immediate risk to life, health, or the environment

Design and deliver technical safety training, site orientations, and briefings on OSHA, EPA, and NRC protocols for all personnel and subcontractors

Lead root-cause analyses for near-misses, injuries, and environmental incidents, formulating corrective actions to prevent recurrence
-
Maintain safety logs, OSHA 300/300A forms, EPA waste manifests, SWPPP inspection logs, and NRC radiation exposure data

Represent the organization during inspections by OSHA, EPA, or NRC representatives
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
-
Minimum of 5 years of dedicated EHS experience within high-risk construction environments (industrial, infrastructure, nuclear)

OSHA 30-Hour Construction Card, active First Aid/CPR/AED provider required

Preferred certifications: CSP, ASP, or CHST

Mastery of 29 CFR 1926, EPA Title 40 CFR, and NRC 10 CFR regulatory frameworks

Proficient with EHS management software and digital field auditing tools

Demonstrated leadership ability and strong communication skills, capable of influencing safety behaviors across diverse teams
