State Hospital South (SHS) in Blackfoot is currently recruiting for a full-time benefit eligible (40 hours per week plus on-call coverage) Clinical Pharmacist. The Pharmacy function is to compound and dispense pharmaceuticals and provide clinical pharmaceutical consultation in an institution and perform related work. This position is not eligible for telework.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:

• Calculate dosages.

• Compound, prepare, package and dispense medical prescriptions.

• Consults with medical staff on medication changes and drug formulation.

• Maintain patient-profile records and cross-check for potential drug interaction, sensitivity, or adverse reaction problems.

• Monitor and train other professionals to monitor patients with potential adverse drug reactions.

• Perform clinical drug review for intermediate-care facility patients.

• Research, investigate and document pharmacologic reports with recommendations to physicians.

• Order and stock drugs and pharmaceutical products at prescribed level.

• Ensure that use and storage of controlled substances that conform with legal requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

You must possess all the minimum qualifications below to pass the exam for this position. Please make sure your resume or work history supports your meeting the minimum qualifications for this position. Failure to do this may disqualify you from being considered for this position. It is highly recommended to attach a one-page cover letter to your application to demonstrate how you meet the requirements below.

• Licensed in Idaho or eligible for reciprocal licensure as a Pharmacist (Idaho Code 54-1722).

• Good knowledge of pharmacy operation procedures. Typically gained by at least one year experience working in a pharmacy.
