As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver in Jamaica, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific policies, security-related procedures, and emergency response activities as appropriate.

• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site procedures.

• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public service areas, office spaces, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

• Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and assist with directing individuals to appropriate service areas while maintaining a professional presence.

• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and interactions in accordance with site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.

• Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.

• Be at least 21 years of age.

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
